Being an artist is in my blood. It’s also in my genes. My granny could often be found creating something out of whatever was handy―from birthday hats made of tin foil to doll dresses made of fabric scraps. She also had a tendency to stick doll heads on pencils and markers. Creepy? Maybe a little. Still I find such unadulterated artistic expression truly inspiring.
To add nurture to nature, from as far back as I remember she'd encourage me with the simple phrase, Be creative. Words to live by.
